About Mrs. Sabin

I'm so pumped you are taking an art class at Sand Creek High School!  A little bit about me (your teacher):

The farm in Louisiana where I grew up
My full name is Sarah (Tietje) Sabin.  I grew up on a farm in south Louisiana, but I moved to Colorado in 2006 after I received my Bachelor's degree in art history and dance from Tulane University in New Orleans.  I went on to get my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Colorado College in 2009 and since then, I have taught art at Challenger Middle School, Cheyenne Mountain Junior High, Wasson High School, and Harrison High School.  This is my second year teaching at Sand Creek High School.

I am also a dancer.  I teach ballet and modern dance at Ormao Dance School.  I also choreograph and perform professionally with Ormao Dance Company.

My husband Charles and I have a little girl, Evangeline, who will be 1-year-old in September.

In addition to making art, dancing, and teaching, I also love to hike and be outdoors.

I look forward to getting to know you better throughout the school year!
